Guest Blog Post

So it's been a long time since I've posted on here. Sorry!! I've been super busy with preparing a Guest Blog Post for my sister's blog Oh Sweet Basil. Follow this link to find out my 4 tips and especially the One Thing I Wish I Had Done Differently.

Learning is a great thing!

So I've been studying and learning a lot about how to be better at helping other people on their own fitness and finance journeys. I am amazed at how this is affecting my life. I'm busier than ever because I'm not only being a wife, mom, working full time and coaching, but now I'm also studying about how to be a better coach. I absolutely love helping others on their own journey to better fitness and better financial stability. The thing that surprised me is that when I spend even just 10 minutes a day learning something new I have more energy for all my other "jobs". Maybe energy isn't exactly the correct word. I want to say motivation, and that is definitely part of it, but that's not exactly it either. I find that I am more attune to those around me, more aware of things that I can do to be of service to others, that is invigorating. As I read, study and especially apply the things I'm learning I just get more excited to learn and do more! This is a side effect of learning to be a coach that I never expected! It is one that I have been happily surprised by however!

So what do I do with this unexpected surprise? Oh, I just dive into more learning! That's right! I just start reading more and more and then applying the things I've learned. And that starts the cycle all over again! I don't remember ever being this excited about learning while I was in school. I think that's a big reason why I was so surprised by this. It's so empowering and fulfilling to learn new ways to "Pay it forward"!

It doesn't matter what it is that interests you, or how much education you already have. Find something to learn about. Find a way to continue to grow as an individual. Learning and growing and changing is so good for each and every one of us. It helps keep things interesting and new and exciting! It doesn't have to be a college course. It doesn't have to be anything formal. You can do it in a formal setting or in your own home on your own schedule. It doesn't matter. Just find something to challenge yourself with!

I am here!

So I have been missing in action for a couple of months. Actually I've been very active on my Facebook and Twitter accounts, but I haven't posted a new blog entry for a long time. Bad me. Sorry! I have a few things I wanted to mention and since I have a few minutes I thought now was a good time to do this.

First of all can I just say how much I enjoy being a Beachbody coach?! It is awesome to be able to help others reach their fitness goals! Actually the best part so far is just being able to share my story with so many people and encourage them to not give up on themselves!

Second, there are some great opportunities right now with Beachbody!

  • Focus T25
  • P90X3
  • Strawberry Shakeology 
  • Get Ready For Spring Challenge Group
I have been using the new-ish (it's not completely new because it was released in June, but it's still less than a year old) Focus T25 workout program and it is great! The workouts give you all the benefits of a full hour long workout in only 25 minutes! That is amazing. How is this possible? There are no breaks during the workout! You go from one move straight into the next move without taking a break. I absolutely love how fast the workouts go by! 12 1/2 minutes and you are already half way through with your workout! T25 comes from Shaun T who is the trainer in the Insanity programs. 

The next special is P90X3! This was just released in December and is also full of 30 minute workouts! I have not done this program yet, but I hear that it is also amazing! Both programs are on sale at a great sale price! The initial release special has been extended through January!

Then Beachbody just announced yesterday that there is a new Shakeology flavor that will be available starting Jan 13, Strawberry! Up til now there has been a Vegan Tropical Strawberry but not a regular Strawberry. There will also be a combo pack that includes, Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry....just like a Neapolitan of Shakeology!

The last thing that concerns Beachbody is that on Jan 20th I have a new Beachbody Challenge Group starting, Get Ready For Spring Challenge Group! This is your opportunity to not only get a great workout program and nutrition guide but also get 30 nutritious meals, free coaching and a support/motivation group! I'm so excited to be able to help people change their lives and their bodies by spring!
